Best Wishes

These are some snapshots taken during one of my bestfriends wedding last December 26. Their wedding was nice and simple :) Never mind that i had to get up at 6 in the morning to get ready :) (imagine the bride!)

Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Eric and Lia Zamora!

Note to self: next time i get married, i am definitely choosing St. James. It's expensive but it's really worth it!

Christmas!

We spent Christmas Eve in bf. We had yummy crabs and ham! It was a simple dinner with the family :)

Julia got all kinds of stuff this Christmas; clothes, shoes, toys, books, diapers! Thank you everyone for all your presents! :) Can't wait till her 1st birthday... hehe! (i'm the one who's excited!)

I was gonna post more but Tatay just called to say we are going to buy a walker for Julia! Wooohoooo!!! I'm so excited for the baby kangaroo!

Thanks tatay!!!!

gotta go!

Finally!

It's been such a busy couple of weeks, i just couldn't find the time to go online, much less to blog. I'm sure i'm not the only one caught under the Holidays spell. Our schedule has been really full the past few days. Christmas parties and get-togethers here and there, last minute Christmas shopping, wrapping presents, taking orders and deliveries for the bakery... and as if i'm not busy enough i still have two weddings to attend, both of which i'm a part of the entourage. Phew! Before i know it, the Christmas break is over. I wish our Christmas break could be longer than 12 days (yes, not even 2 weeks! grrr. We go back to work jan. 3)

Anyways, these are the highlights of the past 2 and a half weeks:

JOEY IS 6 MONTHS OLD!!!!

Last December 17, Julia turned 6 months! Yey!!! She smiles/laughs and babbles alot more now and she reacts to the different things around her. She knows how to reach out to you when she wants you to carry her. She's also practicing how to crawl! She can position herself on all fours but she still can't move in crawling steps. She just wobbles! Hehe. We call it her "ocho-ocho" dance :) She really enjoys eating! Oranges, banana and yogurt are her favorites!

CLASS CHRISTMAS PARTY

We had our class Christmas party last Wednesday, Dec. 19. Julia graced us with her presence :) My kids swarmed around her! It was the first time they saw Julia. They've been bugging me for the longest time to bring my baby to school but i always told them it's not allowed. We had fun! My kids loved the pet fish they got from me as their Christmas present!

BRIDAL SHOWER

One of my best friends is getting married on the 26th and we had her bridal shower last friday. I brought Julia and let her stay for a while then Drago picked her up around 9:30. While all of them stayed for drinks, i had to go home to feed Julia. Oh well, motherhood.

TAGAYTAY

Yesterday, we went to Tagaytay with our friends from ELORDE Gym for our Christmas get together. It was fun! Our other friends brought their kids and we brought Julia. It was Julia's first trip to Tagaytay :) Look at her flirting with Diego :) What can i say, Julia likes older guys :) hehe (6 months older!)

Almost Christmas To-Do-List

1. Make a Christmas List

2. Buy Christmas presents for my students (not more than P40 ea. since i have to multiply it pa by 36. I'm on budget :)-- there was this year i gave my students one goldfish each, just the cheap, local kind. It only cost P20 each and they loved it. I'll probably do that again this year.

3. Market our pastries and other bakery products as Christmas giveaways. Well, for starters, we already have a captured market-- 13 A. Barretto St. :) Headed by Krissy! Thanks for taking orders from Prep Camp! (hehe). We should just put up a sign there: "Help Send Julia to College. Buy Bread" For sure Loola and Tatay will be first in line :)

4. Have a garage sale. I have too much junk. I really need to dispose them. And we could use the extra cash :)

5. Plan an out of town trip with Joey and Drago :) I really can't wait til Christmas break.

So far that's all i can think of.

Time to feed the hungry hippo :)

We Got Elfed (Cute!)

Just recently, Drago's cousin Oliver sent us a really cute link. It's called Elf Yourself. It was sooooo cute! I just had to make one for us.

So here's to all of you... Happy Holidays from Drago, Julia and I :)

We Got Elfed

Make one for yourself too!

Sick :(

I am down with fever and my stomach is really bad. Hopefully it gets better tomorrow. We have a birthday/children's party to attend that i promised my friend we wouldn't miss.

Yesterday morning we went to the St. James Bazaar (known to be the Mother of all Bazaars in Alabang). It was huge. At ang daming tao! Jeez. There were all kinds of stuff, but most of the prices have shot up since the last bazaar. Drago and I went for 1 round and just ended up buying a sushi plate (P50) and some small serving dishes (P30 ea.) Oh and drago got a garrison belt for P100.
But... if i had the money, i would buy lily (our dog) a P400 shirt (mas mahal pa sa mga shirts ko!) and probably get Julia those cute rockstar onesies (which she'll probably only get to use 3 times) that cost P500 ea. Oh, and the Ultimate Bumble Bee toy worth P6,500 just for kicks.

Talk about hold-up.

Happy Christmas shopping everyone!

Argh

It was declared last night that due to typhoon signal number 1, classes in the preschool and elementary levels are suspended. Krissy and I were jumping for joy (or at least I imagined her jumping for joy since we were just texting:). My co-teachers and i were text brigading about the good news. I had my day all planned out. Teachers are still required to report to work but i decided i will just take the day off. I didn't feel guilty wanting to stay home since there won't be any kids around anyway =p.
I really just felt like staying home with Julia so i won't have to pump milk in school then bring it home during lunch... It's just too time consuming. I was so looking forward to my day off.

What do you know...I woke up this morning and the news said there are classes in all levels.

Indian givers!

I guess a 3 day work week is just too good to be true.

No classes on Friday! For real! (Thank you Mr. Andres Bonifacio!)
You're a hero! (ya think? haha)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Here's to the most patient, hardworking, generous man i know....(next is Drago :)... Happy birthday Daddy!!! We love you! From right to left: Lovely (Bam's wife), Bam, Daddy, Mommy, Kuya Ton, Me, Drago and Joey(trying to grab my Mom's hair)
For our family dinner, we ate at an old Chinese place in Binondo. Ang layo! :) The place looks like a carinderia when you enter but it leads to a restaurant annex that looks alot more presentable :) The food was good and there were lots of exotic animals. Can you believe they have a "guard pig" by the entrance. It was actually a huge boar that could barely even stand :)

Poor guard pig. He probably had too much chinese food for dinner.

Bad Weather Forecast

A super dooper typhoon was supposed to hit today. It was all over the news. Billboards were brought down, people are more prepared now than when “Milenyo” hit Manila. Even Julia came prepared.

Check out her nice new cardigan and her trusty hooded jacket (we love that jacket! thanks char and maddie! we use it all the time! it's already bitin in the arms but we don't care coz joey's soooo comfortable in it :)

All for the porma. Apparently, no typhoon. Hope i'm not speaking too soon though.

TOXIC

It's been quite toxic at work lately. With the Foundation Week coming up and me being the assigned Team Leader for the month, there's just too much to do. Aside from all the papers, lesson plans and activities that i had to prepare, the meetings here and there and of course the kids i have to attend to. Oh and did i mention pumping milk in between? Phew. I can't wait till Christmas break :)

Zobel is already 29 years old :)

Joey's First Kiddie Party :)

Julia attended a kiddie party (Gabby, dra. Romero's daughter celebrated her 7th birthday) yesterday in Makati. It was her first ever kiddie party. The invite said kids should come in a princess costume or something but of course she didn't have any. They wanted her to wear the bumble bee costume she wore on Halloween but i was worried she might get too hot. So Krissy just borrowed a crown from her friend's niece (thanks Justine!) and...voila! An instant princess! Ninang Krissy and Drago took lots of pictures and they're really cute! thanks ninang krissy! Joey was in a playful mood that day :) She was smiling and making 'pa-cute' in most of the pictures :) Too bad i wasn't there! I was busy with the boxing event at Elorde. The thing ended quite late so i wasn't able to spend that much time with joey. After the party, Drago went to Elorde so we could switch places and i took joey home. I freshened up a bit, let her nurse for a while, pumped some milk and went back to finish the event. phew. What a day. When we got home, joey was already sleeping.

Anyway, haven't been able to post lately-- since i went back to work after the 1 week break. hay! i just can't seem to find the time. Will try my best to post more pictures. I already set aside a folder of Julia's most recent photos. I will probably post them in my multiply account. :)

Goodnight.

Sleepyheads

This is what happens when Drago wakes up before we do (one of those very rare times =p )

Monday, November 5, 2007

Today i was welcomed by 32 over-excited students (4 are absent--so should've been 36) each demanding for their own share of the limelight as they told me (almost all at the same time) what they did during the week long break. Phew. I gave them all a piece of paper, asked them to bring out their pencils and crayons and told them to draw what they did during the mid year break. At least that calmed them down a bit. A drawing activity is always a good idea :) It's an emergency tranquilizer in a preschool classroom. That and storytelling time. I shall do that with Julia when she's old enough :)

I was too excited to leave for the mid year break last friday so i wasn't at all prepared for today. Of course i did not dare bring home work because i knew i would just be slacking around with drago and julia the whoooole week :) And i did. Anyway, my lessons had lots of holes. My materials were incomplete. My mood...bad. Plus the students were still very restless after coming from a week long vacation :( Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Goodnight.

Bath time fun!

We got Joey a new bath tub with a built in cushioned seat. We bought it at Rustan's for P1200, which is quite expensive if you ask me. I remember seeing almost the same kind in SM for a much cheaper price. Plus, the old one that we had (which we recently handed over to Tessa for Baby Robyn) only cost us P250 in divisoria. But it's just the regular kind. No seat or grooves or whatever. I like this one because Joey can sit comfortably without slipping :) The good thing is we have a Rustan's GC to spend which is only valid in the baby section of the store. So there, perfect! Check out the pic where drago is trying to feed her an apple :) She loved it! (Sosyal! May taga subo pa!)

She looks so much like drago no? =P

A Day of Firsts :)

Today is a day of many firsts. FIRST of all, i finally started a blog of my own (thanks char and ate jill for the inspiration :) and thus... my FIRST blog post!

It is also Julia's FIRST Halloween. Check out her bumble bee costume (thanks ninang char!!!)

She also had her FIRST taste of solids! Cerelac (yum!). I don't think she enjoyed it though :) Parang napilitan lang sya kumain :) So much for a milestone.
