Teachers' Day '08

Every last week of January, Zobel celebrates Teachers' Day :) We are usually asked to sit back and relax while other people (usually parent volunteers or upper level students) are assigned to handle our class for that day. Those poor fellows didn't know what they were getting themselves into! The teachers meanwhile are to act clueless about a surprise program (usually a surprise song or dance number from the kids) that is actually quite touching :)

Happy Teachers' Day to all teachers out there!

Bad Hair Day :)

You like my hair?? :) Uso yan, afro! Di nyo ba alam???

These pictures were taken after we had the garage sale. We were such a wreck after that morning's bargain craze. Grabe, akala ko magkaka stampede. Yan tuloy si Joey, nagulo yung hair! hehehe.
At least we were able to raise money to buy drago a new pair of jeans :)

Note: Joey is 7 months already!!!

Yum!

You should have seen her devouring the oatmeal :) And she loves sitting on her booster chair--she already know's what's gonna happen once we strap her in :) She's been eating so much lately. Takaw!

New Year Promise

As one of our new year activities, the students made their "New Year Promise." Here are a few interesting works:

Wawa...this girl Maggie, has skin asthma kasi :( and oftentimes she really can't help but scratch.

Yes, me too!

Translation: This year I promise that i will not lie.

Very well written :)

And this is the work of my Korean student, Ryan :) Whatever it is he wrote here, i'm sure it's as meaningful as all the others :)

Happy 3 Kings

Today officially marks the end of the Christmas season. It has been a fun and busy Christmas for us this year! Though i must admit, i'm kinda glad things are back to normal. No more Christmas rush. No more splurging and spending and long lines everywhere. No more ham to pig out on (as if on cue, i had the last slices for breakfast this morning). Traffic is also back to normal around here.

Now, time to contemplate on my New Year's Resolution.

My Family Abroad

My nephew Apa (Raphael) and niece Gabby (Gabrielle) recently celebrated their birthday last Deccember 26 and 30. Happy Birthday kiddos!

Apa: 8 years old
Gabby: 1 year old

This is my sister's family in New York (my sister Miki, brother-in-law Patrick, kids Apa and Gabby) I miss them! I haven't seen them in years! :( Last time i was there was 2003 and they visited us here in 2004. Haven't even met my new niece Gabby since she was only born last year. That's where i get all Julia's hand-me-down stuff (aside from Ninang Char and Maddie!)
And this... is my brother Archie from Maryland and his wife Kristen who is 5 months pregnant (they're having a girl too!) Can't wait to meet the new additions to the family! :)

New stuff!

Aside from my new walker, i also have a new booster seat given to me by my two wonderful ninangs, Krissy and Char :) Thank youuuuuuu!!!! (i love it!!! isn't it obvious?)

- Julia.

Happy New Year!

We spent New Year's Eve in B.F. (saan pa!) with all of Julia's titos and titas, loola and tatay :) She has been enjoying her new walker for a few days now (thanks tatay!). She really seems to like being on it with all the noise making toys, lights and music (what a party! wooohoooo!) No need to carry her around the house anymore!

That night we also dressed her up in her new-hand-me-down tinkerbell costume given to us by Ninang Miki from NY. it was my niece's halloween costume. It won't fit Julia anymore by next Halloween so we figured we'd make her wear it on New Year's (and any other special occasion!) Sayang eh! It's really cute! Thanks Gabby for the hand me down!
